Resumo: The chapters demonstrate the concern full access to ICTs by teacher educators, tutors and students, emphasizing the development of a technological culture that promotes, with those involved, a pedagogical practice in technological environments, through actions that encourage the development of technological fluency they can participate in activities at a distance, with support in the digital environment. Present fundamentals and practices in the various scenarios of distance education present in teaching. Chapters: From teacher to ciberprofessor of higher education in distance education: some approaches; The tutor and interactions in virtual learning environment; analysis of elements d textbooks written for distance education; A model for the management of the quality of teaching materials in distance education; The hermeneutical studies and their contribution to the evaluation of learning that occurs in online learning environments; Importance of pedagogical mediation in textbooks written for distance education; Use cases in online education; Teacher training in technology and media means: a ransom of radio media in the school environment; Creating educational environments in virtual worlds of open source; Potential of Visible Body learning object for teaching and online learning; The role of tutors in the perspective of the students of Continuing Education Program in Media in Education; digital inclusion through the Moodle platform in Education Course Distance UAB / UFAL; The voice of the teacher: analysis of aspects of verbal expressiveness to improving the quality of educational interactions; collective authorship in distance education: changing paradigms in ways of teaching and learning; Heading for an assessment instrument of mentoring in online education; Appropriation and use of ICT by graduate teachers in the distance; Distance in theses and dissertations of graduate courses in Brazilian education in 1998-2007.

Apresentam fundamentos e práticas nos diversos cenários da educação a distância presentes no trabalho docente.
