Resumo: In this work we studied the quantum dynamics of particles in a non-euclidian space. First, we studied the dynamics of a particle in a space with a linear topological defect, by confinement potential which mimics different mesoscopic systems [1, 2, 3]. By the effective mass approach [4, 5], one can apply our results to semiconductor nanostructures. Second, we studied the quantum dynamics of a particle, also in the effective mass approach, for the confinement in a spherical space. The confinement potential presented is alike the one in reference [7], but now fitted to a surface with positive curvature. We studied the dynamics for the spherical space in two situations: with and without including a topological defect. Third, we studied, both relativistic and non-relativistic, for a space with a density of defects. Some results from this thesis were published in references [8, 9].
