Resumo: | The present study originated from the interest in comprehending how subjects who experience Redenção Park in Porto Alegre perceive it as a place. The Redenção Park is one of the most visited and attended green spaces in the Southern State capital. It attracts several social groups which stablish different interaction. These social groups produce identity relationships among its members and the park’s various environments. The variability of its use of space generates multiple appropriations and limited relationship between the subjects and the park’s total of 37,5 hectares. The land extent was donated to the city in 1807. Today, the park has approximately 10.000 trees and it is characterized by many exclusive nooks. Redenção Park’s regular attendees usually create a bond with specific places while occasional visitors use the space sporadically in search of natural landscape view and leisure. People who use always the same places stablish a strong connection, attachment, affectivity and even ownership sense regarding these spaces. In order to investigate if and/or how the subjects turn Redenção Park into a place, this study use the phenomenological method and the mind maps theoretical ground to fully analyze the perception and representation. Three groups were determined for application of mind maps: Military, Public Power and General, these being interpreted through three categories of analysis: Nature Deficit, Flaneur and Sociability. The results of this study showed that the relationship with nature and sociability are elements which stand out, concluding that Redenção Park can be considered a place. |

The results of this study showed that the relationship with nature and sociability are elements which stand out, concluding that Redenção Park can be considered a place.O presente trabalho parte do interesse em compreender como os sujeitos que vivem o Parque da Redenção em Porto Alegre o percebem como lugar. O Parque da Redenção é um dos espaços verdes mais visitado e mais frequentado da capital gaúcha. Atrai diversos grupos sociais que desenvolvem convivências diferenciadas. Estes grupos sociais produzem relações de identidade entre seus integrantes e os vários ambientes do parque. A variabilidade de usos do espaço gera múltiplas apropriações e uma ilimitada relação dos sujeitos com sua totalidade de 37,5 hectares. A extensão de terra foi doada para a cidade em 1807. Hoje, o parque possui aproximadamente 10.000 árvores e é caracterizado pela existência de diferentes recantos exclusivos. Os frequentadores assíduos do Parque da Redenção normalmente criam vínculos com lugares específicos, enquanto que os visitantes eventuais utilizam os espaços esporadicamente em busca de paisagens e lazer. As pessoas que usam sempre os mesmos recintos, estabelecem forte vínculo, apego, afetividade e até sentimento de posse por esses espaços. Para investigar se e/ou como os sujeitos transformam o Parque da Redenção em lugar, este trabalho utilizou o método fenomenológico e o aporte teórico metodológico dos mapas mentais para analisar a percepção e a representação. Foram definidos três grupos para a aplicação dos mapas mentais: Militar, Poder Público e Geral, sendo esses interpretados através de três categorias de análise: Déficit de Natureza, Flaneur e Sociabilidade. Os resultados desse estudo demonstraram que a relação com a natureza e a sociabilidade são elementos que se destacam, concluindo que o Parque da Redenção pode ser considerado um lugar.porUniversidade Federal de Santa MariaCentro de Ciências Naturais e ExatasPrograma de Pós-Graduação em Geografia e GeociênciasUFSMBrasilGeociênciasAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessParque da RedençãoParques urbanosMapas mentaisLugarPercepçãoRepresentaçãoRedenção ParkUrban parksMind mapsPlacePerceptionRepresentationCNPQ::CIENCIAS EXATAS E DA TERRA::GEOCIENCIASO lugar na construção de mapas mentais no Parque da Redenção em Porto Alegre - RSThe place in mind map building in Redenção Park in Porto Alegre - RSinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/doctoralThesisCosta, Benhur Pinós dahttp://lattes.cnpq.br/6758952717155318Pires, Cláudia Luísa Zeferinohttp://lattes.cnpq.br/2211975057675229Rego, Nelsonhttp://lattes.cnpq.br/8058499651832918Faria, Rivaldo Mauro dehttp://lattes.cnpq.br/6024725847408179Teixeira, Salete Kozelhttp://lattes.cnpq.br/0142296221294624http://lattes.cnpq.br/0567919038129815Maciel, Jaqueline Lessa100700000005600e5215fcd-915b-4c0e-9405-f7d4b40bb8acfa454295-4393-490d-8b0a-6f9ff97d3e95ed008c22-a283-4e19-b042-1a9f24ba7b6770e54d16-6ab6-4e76-925b-195ae56370b323d3f3c6-5147-4672-b188-5e16418bdb79ddbec88e-9fc3-4267-8d68-62fe6e15ade7reponame:Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações do UFSMinstname:Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)instacron:UFSMORIGINALTES_PPGGG_2019_MACIEL_JAQUELINE.pdfTES_PPGGG_2019_MACIEL_JAQUELINE.pdfTese de Doutoradoapplication/pdf3205564http://repositorio.ufsm.br/bitstream/1/18713/1/TES_PPGGG_2019_MACIEL_JAQUELINE.pdfe8d4ff6527c5856b706170dc6a4c8172MD51CC-LICENSElicense_rdflicense_rdfapplication/rdf+xml;
