Resumo: According to some studies, it is known that the Região Missioneira of Rio Grande do Sul, from determined period on, encouraged the population there was established to worship the missionary past and, somehow, feel belonging to the place, which once was a great history scene. From previous research subsidies that characterized the missionary identity, particularly its construction, this study addresses the phenomenon through a geographic bias, made possible by a geography humanist current and, all above cultural, the relationship between people and place appreciation. Facing a phenomenological approach, emphasizing the place people's perception, it became an identity analysis, emphasizing the people belonging relations to the region and its historical context, being a differentiator. In the present study, which valued the place perceptions, it was noticed above all, a missionary full of place, history and historical characters pride, valuing it day to day. Even induced to feel missionary, was realized a kind of nostalgia in the population, where the missionary feeling is evident with the other regions people contact, being very afforded when native moves away from its origins to live in another place. Direct contact with impregnated symbols landscape that remind the missionary past, induces the natives to feel part of a highlighted positive aspects history. Local counties use the historical question in the present, all highlighting the past, each in their own way, highlighting peculiarities that differentiate them, including at the regional context. Respect to residents, it´s noticed a very clear missionary rooting, but the motivation to such a feeling, even having similarities, always has some local counties differences, motivated, about everything, by the way they make use of historical context. The identity that exists in the Missões, stands out for its strong differences use, highlighting symbolic elements alluding to local history. Past legacies are greatly valued and present in the speech, but the identity and missionary belonging are closely linked to common sense. The experiences and the same place fixture time, denote certain people rooting, justifying the belonging feeling of a lifetime experience at that place portion.

Past legacies are greatly valued and present in the speech, but the identity and missionary belonging are closely linked to common sense. The experiences and the same place fixture time, denote certain people rooting, justifying the belonging feeling of a lifetime experience at that place portion.De acordo com alguns estudos, sabe-se que a Região Missioneira do Rio Grande do Sul, a partir de determinado período, incentivou a população que ali estava estabelecida a cultuar o passado missioneiro e, de certo modo, se sentir pertencente ao lugar que outrora foi palco de uma grande história. A partir dos subsídios de pesquisas anteriores que caracterizaram a identidade missioneira, sobretudo sua construção, este estudo aborda o fenômeno através do viés geográfico, propiciado pela interpretação geográfica da corrente humanista e, sobretudo cultural, de valorização das relações entre pessoas e o lugar. Diante de uma abordagem fenomenológica, procurou-se ressaltar a percepção das pessoas sobre o local, se fez a análise identitária dando ênfase as relações de pertencimento dos indivíduos perante a região de vida e a todo seu contexto histórico como elemento diferenciador. O estudo ao valorizar as percepções a respeito do lugar identificou um missioneiro cheio de orgulho da história do lugar e de seus personagens históricos valorizados no cotidiano. Mesmo aqueles que são induzidos a se sentirem missioneiros. Percebeu-se na população a nostalgia e o sentimento missioneiro se evidenciando no contato com pessoas de outras regiões, bem como quando o nativo acaba se distanciando de suas origens para morar em outro lugar. Acredita-se que o contato direto com uma paisagem impregnada de símbolos que remetem ao passado missioneiro, induz os nativos a se sentirem parte de uma história que é ressaltada por aspectos positivos. Os municípios locais fazem uso da temática histórica no presente, ressaltando o passado, cada um a sua maneira, destacando peculiaridades que os diferenciam, inclusive no contexto regional. Em relação aos munícipes percebe-se um evidente enraizamento missioneiro, porém a motivação a tal sentimento, mesmo apresentando semelhanças, possui sempre algumas diferenças entre os municípios locais, motivadas acima de tudo pelo modo com que os mesmos fazem uso do contexto histórico. A identidade que se verifica nas Missões, se destaca pelo forte uso da diferença, onde elementos simbólicos que aludem a história local são ressaltados. Heranças do passado são significativamente valorizadas e são presentes nos discursos, porém a identidade e o pertencimento missioneiro ligam-se ao senso comum. As vivências e o tempo de fixação em um mesmo lugar denotam certo enraizamento das pessoas, que justificam o sentimento de pertencimento por toda uma experiência de vida nesta porção do espaço.porUniversidade Federal de Santa MariaCentro de Ciências Naturais e ExatasPrograma de Pós-Graduação em GeografiaUFSMBrasilGeografiaAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessMissõesIdentidade missioneiraPertencimento ao lugarMissionary identityBelonging placeCNPQ::CIENCIAS HUMANAS::GEOGRAFIAA identidade missioneira na área dos Sete Povos das Missões Jesuítico-GuaraniMissionary identity in the Sete Povos das Missões Jesuítico-Guarani areainfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisMiorin, Vera Maria Favilahttp://lattes.cnpq.br/2237199224220458Benaduce, Gilda Maria Cabralhttp://lattes.cnpq.br/0879049524486787Sturza, José Adolfo Iriamhttp://lattes.cnpq.br/1160588187827811http://lattes.cnpq.br/4622703380738726Freitas, Luiz Felipe Sausen de100700000005600c6c82989-6293-4de8-8e7f-f50bcbd178d615430fb3-eee3-4daa-8b4f-9e403da247aeefdae0f7-fa58-48fa-b18e-6e2e737013153d16b827-64dd-4eba-92a8-0dc5d47fe8e3reponame:Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações do UFSMinstname:Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)instacron:UFSMORIGINALDIS_PPGGG_2016_FREITAS_LUIZ.pdfDIS_PPGGG_2016_FREITAS_LUIZ.pdfDissertação de Mestradoapplication/pdf2208204http://repositorio.ufsm.br/bitstream/1/18113/1/DIS_PPGGG_2016_FREITAS_LUIZ.pdf073bb9e294365570e213f062b7fe97bbMD51CC-LICENSElicense_rdflicense_rdfapplication/rdf+xml;
