Raspadores ósseos : avaliação estrutural e sua relação com a eficácia in vitro

Resumo: There are many bone scrapers commercially available that present different characteristics structural and different clinic results. However, in the current literature, there are no articles that analyze the structural and project characteristics and relate them to the effectiveness of the scrapers. The aim of the present study was to analyze the design, structural characteristics of the steel of the blades from 9 different bone scrapers, as well as to relate their performance to such characteristics in vitro. The data obtained were compaired using ANOVA and the comparison multiple test Student-Newman-Keuls. Furthermore, the amount of rasped bone was related to the others variables by regression analisis. The results of the different scrapers show that both the opening and the cutting angle of the active part, which are characteristics of the bone scrapers projects, did not influence in the quantity of the scraped bone; while the structural characteristics of the bone scrapers blades (average diameter of the grain, Vickers hardness and the chemical composition) influenced in the quantity of the scraped bone.

Na literatura atual, não existem trabalhos que analisem as características estruturais e do projeto dos diferentes raspadores e que as relacionem a eficácia dos raspadores. O objetivo deste trabalho foi analisar os projetos, as características estruturais do aço das lâminas de corte, correlacionando com o desempenho in vitro de 9 diferentes raspadores ósseos. Os dados obtidos foram comparados utilizando a análise de variância (ANOVA) e o teste de comparações múltiplas de Student-Newman-Keuls (SNK). Além disso, a quantidade de osso raspado foi correlacionada pela análise de regressão com cada uma das outras variáveis. Os resultados demonstraram que tanto a abertura da ponta ativa, como o ângulo de corte da ponta ativa, que são características dos projetos dos raspadores ósseos, não influenciaram na quantidade de osso raspado.
