Resumo: The relationship of osteoporosis with their demonstration in oral cavity is a complex problem, being cause for a large number of experimental and clinical research. The aim of this study was to evaluate the alveolar socket response front MTA and Sealer 26 deployment in osteoporotic rats. Were used 48 female rats (Rattus novergicus albinus, Wistar), aged 90 days and weighing approximately 350 g from the vivarium of Sagrado Coração University – USC, which have undergone previous surgery of ovariectomy for induction of osteoporosis. After confirming the proposed disease induction materials used such as root-end filling materials, were implanted in the dental socket of the animals. The groups were so divided (n=6): Group I: MTA Angelus OVX; Group II: Sealer OVX 26; Group III: MTA Angelus SHAM; Group IV: Sealer 26 SHAM; Group v: empty Tube OVX; Group VI: empty Tube SHAM. The trial period was 30 and 45 days. After the trial period, the animals were killed and performed histological processing for further analysis. For intra-group comparisons, were used the Kruskal-Wallis tests and Dun. For comparisons enter-group we used the Mann-Whitney test. Finally, for the global comparison tests were used of Kruskal-Wallis and Dun. In all the analyses the significance level was set at 5 (p=0.05). The results showed that there was no statistically significant difference between the materials in the control group (SHAM) and the OVX Group (p>0.05). Also no statistically significant difference was verified among the groups (p>0.05). Based on the methodology proposed and the results of this study it can be concluded that osteoporosis did not influence on bone response against the tested materials.

O objetivo do presente trabalho foi avaliar a resposta do tecido ósseo frente implantação de MTA e Sealer 26 em alvéolos de ratas osteoporóticas. Foram utilizadas 72 ratas (Rattus novergicus albinus, Wistar), com idade 90 dias e pesando aproximadamente 350g provenientes do biotério da Universidade do Sagrado Coração de Bauru – USC, que foram submetidas a cirurgias previas de ovariectomia para indução da osteoporose. Após a confirmação a indução da doença proposta, materiais utilizados como retrobturadores, foram implantados no alvéolo dos animais. Os grupos foram assim divididos (n=6): grupo I: MTA Angelus OVX; grupo II: Sealer 26 OVX; grupo III: MTA Angelus SHAM; grupo IV: Sealer 26 SHAM; grupo V: Tubo vazio OVX; grupo VI: Tubo vazio SHAM. Os períodos de avaliações foram de 30 e 45 dias. Após os períodos de avaliações, os animais foram eutanasiados e realizado o processamento histológico para posterior avaliação. Para as comparações intra-grupos, foram utilizados os testes de Kruskal-Wallis e Dun. Para as comparações entre-grupos foi utilizado o teste de Mann-Whitney. Por fim, para a comparação global foram utilizados os testes de Kruskal-Wallis e Dun. Em todas as análises o nível de significância foi fixado em 5% (p=0,05). Os resultados mostraram que não houve diferença estatisticamente significante entre os materiais no grupo controle (SHAM) e no grupo OVX (p>0,05). Também não foi verificada diferença estatisticamente significante entre os grupos (p>0,05).
