Plinio Ritter's life is summed up in two words: tenacity and stubbornness. The perseverance with which he undertook in the construction of his professional career led him to explore the West of Santa Catarina, where he implanted the first advertising agency in the region and became a talent in the narration of games, in addition to developing a new TV presenter and commentator layout. Stubbornness gave him the recognition of an ingenious publicist and restless broadcaster. Plinio's curriculum enabled us to go beyond his history. How will advertising be tomorrow? And is it possible for journalism to regain its degree of reference at a confidence level? This work focuses on these focuses and, despite the barriers imposed by social isolation, it was possible to minimize the difficulties and, certainly, the experience achieved is already an enthusiasm for the production of a publication on the subject, with new research aimed at deepening and expanding the content. Ritter's way of being and doing social communication anticipates phenomena such as convergence and multidisciplinary teams in communication services uniting advertisers, journalists and others.
