This dissertation analyzes the Lean Startup methodology used in Social Good Brazil and the initiatives that won the Good Social 2017 Social Festival as Social Technology practices that generate Social Innovation. This is a qualitative case study, with an exploratory and descriptive approach. It was constituted from the literature review, using the theoretical constructs of Social Technology and Social Innovation. In addition, documentary research and interviews with the managers and entrepreneurs engaged in this third sector organization, participants of the SGB 2017 Festival were carried out. The analysis was performed based on the twelve aspects defined by the Institute of Social Technology (ITS). It is a fact that the SGB provides significant advances in training for social businesses and for entrepreneurs. However, through the critical literature and systemic analysis, it has been observed that the connection between the Startup Enxuta methodology and the TS guiding principles is restricted, considering the social and emancipatory values that guide the critical and propositional dimension of Social Technology. That is, the study showed that there is little in the methodology used by the SGB that can be identified as knowledge and practice of Social Technology.
