This study aims to evaluate the weight of Military Intelligence preventing the threat from contemporary terrorism in Brazil and, thereby, increase the data that will serve to improve the National Intelligence Doctrine. The subject was chosen due to the Brazilian Armed Forces has frequently been called up to support and work in cooperation with several government agencies in security and defense activities of international Major Events held in Brazil, such as Military World Games (Rio de Janeiro/RJ, 2011), United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development - Rio +20 (Rio de Janeiro/RJ, 2012), World Youth Day (Rio de Janeiro/RJ, 2013), FIFA Confederations Cup (2013), FIFA World Cup (2014), Olympic and Paralympic Games. As long as the Brazil’s political-strategic prestige in the international community are increased, it is mandatory that Brazilian society, represented by its government summit, be prepared to act facing a current terrorist threat. Thus, taking advantage of the author's experience in the participation of Security and Defense in major events, as well as in updating as Intelligence Analyst of the Army Intelligence System (SIEx), it is intended to highlight the use of the Military Intelligence Activity as well How is its integration with the other Institutions that are part of the Brazilian Intelligence System (SISBIN), specifically aimed at preventing the occurrence of a terrorist action in the national territory.
