Resumo: This article looks at creation processes in a series of clothes produced by the Brazilian fashion brand André Lima for the 2005 Summer Season. The objects comprised in this collection are basically formed by a textile surface with holes and/or slits of various sizes. The pieces do not have zones of support in the body nor predetermined zones for the passage of arms, neck and/or legs - encouraging us to deautomatize our senses, gestures and thoughts, which have become so used to “ready-to-wear” clothes. In this sense, this study seeks to contribute to a reflection on the political and cultural role of fashion professionals in fostering less domesticating experiences of existence.
