Reading in the room, reading in the living room, reading on the bus, reading at school, reading at public and personal libraries: reconstructing the effects

Resumo: Abstract: The text presents a set of reflections on reading development structured from a review of the author's personal story also analyzes the problem of the meaning reading can acquire throughout life experiences. Thinking about the time and space in which we accomplish reading besides moments and places in which it occurs allows us to reconstruct the effects of the numerous works we have known; likewise, the forms in which we have continually taken ownership of books to shape our thinking. Constituting the history of our own lived library is, in many ways, the chronicle of our formation attested by the texts. The elaborated analysis benefits from the initiatives that have been incited among the Pedagogy degree colleagues, professors and students inside the School of Education at the University of São Paulo. Debates set in the context of the formative processes, reading acquisition, its promotion and the role it plays in the core of school learning. Therefore, once the numerous problems related to reading and schooling are forgotten, this text moves from the personal and individual meanings to the social worth associated with the possibilities of book access and the effects behind the act of reading. Pensar en los tiempos y espacios en los que se realiza la actividad, en los momentos y lugares en los que se lee, nos permite reconstruir los efectos que consiguen las diversas obras que hemos conocido; así mismo, las formas en las que continuamente nos hemos apropiado de ellas para conformar nuestro pensamiento. La conformación de nuestra biblioteca de vida es, en muchos aspectos, la historia de nuestra formación según el texto que lo atestigüe. El análisis elaborado también se beneficia de las iniciativas que se han desarrollado con los colegas, profesores y estudiantes de los cursos de la Licenciatura en Pedagogía de la Facultad de Educación de la Universidad de São Paulo, en el marco de los debates sobre los procesos de formación, la adquisición del gusto por la lectura, su fomento y el papel que desempeña en el núcleo de los procesos de aprendizaje escolar. Por tanto, olvidando los grandes problemas de la lectura y su enseñanza escolar, el texto transcurre de los sentidos personales e individuales a los sentidos sociales implicados en las posibilidades de acceso a los libros y los efectos del acto de leer. Palabras clave: Lectura y formación; Tiempos y espacios de lectura; Bibliotecas personales; Relaciones con la lectura.Resumo: O texto apresenta um conjunto de reflexões sobre leitura e formação estruturadas a partir de uma retomada da história pessoal da autora e analisa a problemática dos sentidos que a leitura pode adquirir ao longo das experiências de vida. Pensar os tempos e espaços em que se exerce a atividade, nos momentos e lugares nos quais se lê, permite aqui refazer efeitos das diversas obras que fomos conhecendo e dos modos pelos quais fomos nos apropriando delas continuamente e com elas conformando nosso pensamento. A história da constituição de nossas bibliotecas vividas é, em muitos aspectos, a história de nossa formação conforme o texto testemunha. A análise que se elaborou também se beneficia de iniciativas que foram desenvolvidas com colegas professores e alunos dos cursos de Pedagogia e Licenciatura, no quadro de debates acerca dos processos de formação, da aquisição do gosto pela leitura, do seu cultivo e do papel que ela exerce no cerne dos processos de aprendizagem escolar. Assim, sem olvidar os grandes problemas da leitura e seu ensino escolar, o texto transita dos sentidos individuais para os sentidos sociais envolvidos nas possibilidades de acesso aos livros e aos efeitos dos atos de ler.
