The evaluation of the cine-esthetic-corporal profile of children with Down's Syndrome: a parameter to attend the proposal of the national curricular guidelines for special education

Resumo: | This article aims to evaluate the corporal-movement profile of 20 children, with -Down's syndrome DS, between 06 and 12 years of age, resident in the Southern Region of the State of Tocatins, Brazil. The purpose of this work is to establish cognitive-motor parameters which are able to found heterogeneous practices in the pedagogic-policy project of the curriculum, in the teaching methodology and also, in the evaluation of these individuals, in agreement with the National Curricular Guidelines for Special Education (MEC/SEESP, 1998), thus favoring the education and social integration of people with such special needs. This aim was achieved with a context evaluation in which the "Operational Portage" Inventory (Williams & Aiello, 2001) and the protocol of evaluation of motor ability of Bruininks - Oseretsky (BRUININKS, 1978) were used. It was concluded that individuals with Down's syndrome present a deficit of cognitive-motor ability, which is related the fine motor coordination and also a limited development of language, whether oral or written, resulting in lack of success in school chores. Finally, an important aspect had caught attention, that is, although some individuals with Down's syndrome have got a lower level of cerebral deficiency or of motor function, they can achieve success in a great variety of tasks, even in the school environment. |

Esto con el proposito de establecer parametros cognitivo-motores que puedan fundamentar practicas heterogeneas en el proyecto politico-pedagogico, en el curriculum, en la metodologia de enseñanza y en la evaluacion de tales entes, en conformidad con las Directrices Curriculares Nacionales para Educacion Especial (MEC/SEESP, 1998), favoreciendo asi el aprendizaje y la integracion social de individuos con tales necesidades especiales. Tal objetivo fue alcanzado a partir de una evaluacion de contexto en el cual fue aplicado el Inventario "PortageOperacionalizado" (Williams & Aiello 2001 ) y el protocolo de evaluacion de habilidades cognitivo-motoras propias de la coordinacion motora fina y un limitado desarrollo del lenguaje, sea oral o escrito, resultando en un fracaso en las tareas escolares. Finalmente, se llama la atencion para un importante aspecto, esto es, que algunos individuos portadores de la SD, sea en funcion de un menor nivel de deficiencia cerebral o mismo de vivencia motora, pueden tener exito en tareas diversas, inclusive en el ambiente escolar.Este artigo teve por objetivo avaliar o perfil cinestesico-corporal de 20 criancas, com Sindrome de Down (SD), de 06 a 12 anos, residentes na Regiao Sul do Estado do Tocantins - Brasil. Isto com o proposito de estabelecer parâmetros cognitivo-motores que possam fundamentar práticas heterogeneas tanto no projeto politico-pedagogico, como no curriculo, na metodologia de ensino e na avaliação de tais entes, em conformidade com as Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais para Educação Especial (BRASIL, 2001) e favorecer, assim, a aprendizagem e a integração social de individuos com tais necessidades especiais. Tal objetivo foi alcancado a partir de uma avaliação de contexto na qual foi aplicado o Inventario Portage Operacionalizado (WILLIAMS; AIELLO, 2001) e o protocolo de avaliação de habilidades motoras de Bruininks - Oseretsky (BRUININKS, 1978). Concluiu-se que individuos com SD apresentam um deficit de habilidades cognitivo-motoras proprias da coordenação motora fina e um limitado desenvolvimento da linguagem, seja oral ou escrita, resultando em insucesso nas tarefas escolares.
