Introduction: The playfulness is commonly expressed in various means of expression and joy, among them, the games and other activities that have freedom of speech as a goal. Objective: To describe the importance of playfulness as a pedagogical strategy in physical education classes for the comprehensive development of students in different educational stages. Material and Methods: This study deals with a literature review on the topic “Playfulness in pedagogical intervention of physical education”. An exploratory reading was used in order to observe the importance of the study for this research. Literature Review: The playful provides the ability to create new experiences through imagination and play, this aspect becomes an essential tool as an intervention in physical education classes. Conclusions: The playfulness is very important for teaching practice and integral development in educational steps in physical education classes.
