Resumo: The curricular internship in veterinary medicine is a pedagogical activity that enables the student to exercise the theoretical foundations received during graduation, providing the agnition of their space of action. This moment of graduation aims at the development of skills and abilities, expansion of knowledge and theoretical-practical association. The internship was carried out at Hospital Veterinário Vettie (HV-Vettie), located in the city of Porto Alegre, during the period from August 8 to October 28, 2022. The main objective was to develop greater practical knowledge in the areas of clinic and surgery of small animals through experience in the hospital routine. The activities performed at the HV-Vettie propose preventive, diagnostic and therapeutic results, aiming to cure conditions that affect canine and feline patients. During the three-month internship, the activities developed included participation in clinical, specialist and preventive consultations, general surgeries, imaging exams, monitoring and nursing care of hospitalized patients, in addition to sample collection for complementary exams. The report in question presents the description of the infrastructure of the internship place as well as the activities developed during the curricular internship. It also includes the report of three cases followed during the same period, the selected ones being: Glossectomy in a canine with tongue laceration, Grade 3 splenic stromal sarcoma in a Golden Retriever canine and Gadolinium-based contrast anaphylaxis in a French Bulldog canine.

Centro Universitário da Serra GaúchaBrasilFSGBianchini, Manoela Mariahttp://lattes.cnpq.br/5970581584321033Colombo, Katiane Carvalho2022-12-06T18:53:01Z2022-12-012022-12-06T18:53:01Z2022-11-16info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/bachelorThesisapplication/pdfhttps://repositorio.cruzeirodosul.edu.br/handle/123456789/4186porinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessreponame:Repositório do Centro Universitário Braz Cubasinstname:Centro Universitário Braz Cubas (CUB)instacron:CUB2022-12-06T18:55:39Zoai:repositorio.cruzeirodosul.edu.br:123456789/4186Repositório InstitucionalPUBhttps://repositorio.brazcubas.edu.br/oai/requestbibli@brazcubas.edu.bropendoar:2022-12-06T18:55:39Repositório do Centro Universitário Braz Cubas - Centro Universitário Braz Cubas (CUB)false
