Sentido, dialogismo e cena enunciativa em Pessach: a travessia, romance de Carlos Heitor Cony

In the present essay, a reflection upon the concept of the bakhtinian dialogism was proposed, and the corpus used was the novel Pessach: the crossing, by Carlos Heitor Cony, mainly the enunciated scenes which built the historical and social product represented by the novel and also the formation/transformation of the subject/hero in the narrative. To understand the dialogical power of the language as a means of persuasion and manipulation over the subject, representative enunciated scenes of ideological conflicts in which the subject/hero take part through verbal interactions were selected, rejecting or incorporating someone else’s voices. It was also analyzed how these voices were able to change the subject’s ideological conscience, of neutral and off duty to aware, driving him (the subject) to carry out the “crossing”, his changing: action and social engagement. It was also highlighted, as a relevant factor for the subject’s change, the study of time and space. The historical period represented in the novel, during the 1960’s, coincides with the dictatorship period in Brazil, which instigated the ideological conflict, which was present in the subject/hero conscience. It was checked that not only the historical period but also the time lived by the subject, associated with the spaces where he moved through, were essential for his “crossing”, his transformation.
