Resumo: This research reports reflections on the perception of the body in postmodernity, based on an analysis of Physical Education journals published in the area of ??human sciences between 2012 and 2018. As a methodological procedure, this research comprises a bibliographical study in which, as a result, it was possible to note that the cult of the body is a strong behavioral tendency and one of the dimensions of lifestyles built by consumption in contemporary societies. Physical Education Journals.Esta pesquisa relata reflexões feitas em torno da temática a percepção do corpo na pós-modernidade, a partir de uma análise de alguns periódicos de Educação Física, com publicação na área das Ciências Humanas, entre os anos de 2012 até 2018. Como procedimento metodológico, esta pesquisa se constitui como um estudo bibliográfico no qual como resultado foi possível evidenciar que o culto ao corpo é uma forte tendência de comportamento e uma das dimensões dos estilos de vida construídos, pelo consumo, nas sociedades contemporâneas.
