The application of the principles of Bioethics in Higher Education

Resumo: This article aims to address the application of the principles of bioethics (beneficence, autonomy, and justice) in higher education, working mainly on how each of these principles can be applied from literature review and a brief report of experience in the Fundamentals in Science Teaching course unit, taught at the Stricto Sensu Graduate Program in Science and Health Teaching at the Federal University of Tocantins. In this article it was identified that it is possible to apply the principles of bioethics in a practical way and to allow for the humanization of the academic environment, fostering student autonomy and protagonism and thus promoting an environment where inequalities are mitigated and one that makes the real meaning of the learned content possible, as well as its effective practical application in the transformation of the social, historical and cultural contexts that involve the subject. Bioethics.O presente artigo pretende abordar a aplicação dos princípios da bioética (beneficência, autonomia e justiça) no contexto da educação no Ensino Superior, trabalhando principalmente a forma como cada um destes princípios pode ser aplicado a partir de um levantamento bibliográfico e um breve relato de experiência da disciplina de Fundamentos em Ensino em Ciências, ministrada no Programa de Pós-Graduação Stricto Sensu em Ensino de Ciências e Saúde da Universidade Federal do Tocantins. A partir deste artigo identificou-se que é possível aplicar os princípios da bioética de forma prática e que possibilite a humanização do ambiente acadêmico, bem como fomente a autonomia e o protagonismo por parte dos discentes, promovendo desta forma um ambiente onde as desigualdades sejam atenuadas e que possibilite a real significação do conteúdo aprendido, bem como sua efetiva aplicação prática na transformação dos contextos sócio-histórico-culturais que envolvem o sujeito.
