Intelligent environment of medical decision making for ventricular assistance device (vad) patients in the health context 4.0

Resumo:   With the prevalence of diseases such as heart failure (HF) as the main cause of population mortis and the fundamental existence of incompatibility between supply and demand of organs for heart transplantation, mechanical circulation support devices, are used as an alternative to improve circulation of blood in the body with a heart pump, more commonly called a ventricular assist device (VAD), has been shown to be an important option for the treatment of CVDs. However various challenges still need to be overcome in the use of these devices, of engineering, or even challenges related to inadequate information in a timely manner for medical decision making. In addition, how these devices are adjusted to the physical requirements and different physiological characteristics of each patient. However, as all weight has its counterbalance, for the universal balance, the presence more and more marked of technological changes, especially about information technology (IT), the presence of intelligent products; resulting from advances in microelectronics; the Internet of Things (IoT) and the use of the Internet as a communication platform, provide an opportune tool to create an intelligentsystem with predictive interaction in medical decisions in patients with VAD. This article drives the use of these technologies; of which it is already observed its use in solutions in Health 4.0; to propose a new intelligent environment to support medical decisions in patients with VAD implanted.

This article drives the use of these technologies; of which it is already observed its use in solutions in Health 4.0; to propose a new intelligent environment to support medical decisions in patients with VAD implanted.Com a prevalência das doenças como a insuficiência cardíaca (IC), como principal causa mortis populacional, e a existência fundamental de incompatibilidade entre oferta e demanda de órgãos para a realização de transplante cardíaco, os dispositivos de suporte de circulação mecânica, utilizados como alternativa para melhorar a circulação do sangue no corpo com uma bomba cardíaca, mais comumente designada por dispositivo de assistência ventricular (DAV), vem se mostrando uma importante opção para o tratamento de IC refratária. No entanto diversos desafios ainda precisam ser vencidos no uso desses dispositivos, sejam eles intrínsecos a suas características eletromecânicas das quais permeiam o campo da engenharia, ou mesmo desafios relacionados as deficiências de informações adequadas em tempo hábil para tomada de decisões médicas. Além, do modo como são ajustados esses dispositivos frente as exigências físicas e diferentes características fisiológicas dos pacientes. Porém, como todo peso tem seu contrapeso, para o equilíbrio universal, a presença cada vez mais marcante de mudanças tecnológicas, sobre tudo acerca da tecnologia da informação (TI), a presença de produtos inteligentes; resultantes dos avanços da microeletrônica; a digitalização; a internet das coisas (IoT) e o uso da internet como plataforma de comunicação, propiciam um ferramental oportuno para criar um sistema inteligente com interação preditiva nas decisões médicas em pacientes com DAV.
