Resumo: The article aimed to recover from oblivion, analyze, and value Alzira Alves de Abreu’s PhD thesis on ISEB,defended in France in 1975. It also sought to compare her analysis with that of other authors dedicated tostudying the same institute and inserting the debate of that time in the context of the emerging sociology.
