Resumo: This paper presents the results of a study about the role that regulations issued by Belo Horizonte's municipal agency for public transportation management (BHTrans) have on labor relations in four companies representative of this segment. The study concludesthat BHTrans sets rules for different aspects of the organization of work itself, as well as for the organization of the labor force, being shy when it deals with working conditions. Nevertheless, the study identitied the development of new mechanisms for the control of contlicts and for community participation in the decisions about the operation of the transportation system.

O estudo conclui que BHTrans impõe normas a diversos aspectos da organização do trabalho e da gestão da força de trabalho. sendo tímida no que se refere às condições de trabalho.
