Learning and knowledge organizational studies in the light of the situated and technoscience approaches

Resumo: Because of the gaps pointed out by the literature on organizational knowledge and learning, this article constitutes a reflection on organizational knowledge and learning by means of the situated and technoscience approaches. Thus, learning is regarded as a theory of the organizational and social movement, therefore, it has a procedural and relational nature. This alternative allows looking with different eyes at the phenomenon through two still incipient approaches in studies within this area, since both are interested in the process through which a “new object” becomes a “less new object”. Works by Latour are highlighted, an author who explores the concepts of agency and time/space as locally construed. The organization is seen, from this perspective, as an authority system. A theoretical and empirical study carried out with industrial plants is used in this article as a basis to explore the dynamic focus of knowledge and understand learning as part of a social practice of the organizational life. We also highlight the potential of the technoscience and situated approaches to analyze organizational knowledge and learning, considering them in a broader and more relational manner, in a reality where there is dynamics and implicit movement. We point out the remaining implications, both with regard to content and methodology, and highlight the need for further theoretical and theoretical and empirical studies.

Desse modo, a aprendizagem é considerada uma teoria do movimento organizacional e social, portanto, de caráter processual e relacional. Essa alternativa permite lançar um olhar diferenciado para o fenômeno por meio de duas abordagens ainda incipientes nos estudos da área, uma vez que ambas têm interesse no processo pelo qual um “objeto novo” torna-se um “objeto menos novo”. Destaque é dado às obras de Latour, autor que explora os conceitos de agência e tempo/espaço como construídos localmente. A organização é tida, nessa perspectiva, como sistema de autoridade. Um estudo teórico-empírico realizado com plantas industriais é utilizado neste artigo como base para explorar o enfoque dinâmico do conhecimento e para compreender a aprendizagem como parte de uma prática social da vida organizacional. Destaca-se, ainda, o potencial das abordagens situada e da tecnociência para analisar o conhecimento e a aprendizagem organizacional, considerando-os de uma forma mais ampla e relacional, em uma realidade na qual há dinâmica e movimento implícito.
