Resumo: Rodrigues, E. (compilação) Brazilian Medicinal Plants: Is the Brazilian researcher able to study them? Nowadays the Brazilian researcher faces a lot of difficulties if he or she wants to study the Brazilian medicinal Flora. Barriers produced by the existing specific laws impose a slow and excessive bureaucracy on anyone wishing to access plant resources. The Symposium “Medicinal Plants in Brazil: Is the Brazilian researcher able to study them?” brought out a number of possible solutions through proposals by the main Brazilian official, industrial and non-governmental entities that work in this area.
