O presente estudo tem por objetivo analisar as possibilidades da atuação do psicólogo com pacientes vivendo com HIV ou AIDS. Partimos da ideia do contexto sociocultural do estado crônico do vírus, dos estigmas e preconceitos das pessoas portadores do vírus e permeando as atividades do psicólogo, baseando-se na regulamentação do SUS. Para alcançar o objetivo, utilizamos uma pesquisa qualitativa de cunho exploratório, que possibilitou uma visão conceitual do viver após o diagnóstico de HIV ou AIDS. Como resultado, mostramos as implicações psicológicas após o diagnóstico de HIV ou AIDS e a possibilidade de um manejo terapêutico do psicólogo que exerce a psicanálise em contexto hospitalar. Palavras-chave: HIV. AIDS. SUS. Psicologia Hospitalar. ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the possibilities of the psychologist's work with patients living with HIV or AIDS. We start from the idea of the sociocultural context of the chronic state of the virus, the stigmas and prejudices of people with the virus and permeating the psychologist's activities, based on the regulation of the SUS. To reach the objective, we used a qualitative exploratory research, which allowed a conceptual vision of living after the diagnosis of HIV or AIDS. As a result, we show the psychological implications after the diagnosis of HIV or AIDS and the possibility of a therapeutic management of the psychologist who practices psychoanalysis in a hospital context. Keywords: HIV.
