Resumo: | Introduction: Heart failure is a chronic condition affecting millions of people worldwide, characterized by symptoms such as shortness of breath, fatigue, and leg swelling. Objective: This study aims to analyze the updates and advances in the treatment of this condition. Methodology: The methodology employed was a literature review with an exploratory approach, consulting various databases to identify relevant articles published between 2019 and 2024. Specific descriptors were used to conduct the searches, resulting in 112 articles, of which 43 were selected for further evaluation, and 21 were considered particularly relevant. Results: The treatment of heart failure involves pharmacological and non-pharmacological measures, with highlights including angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors, angiotensin II receptor blockers, beta-blockers, combination therapies, and remote monitoring. Recent updates have introduced promising therapies such as Sacubitril/Valsartan and sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 inhibitors, along with advances in gene therapy, cardiac stem cells, and advanced circulatory support devices. Final Considerations: Prevention and early diagnosis are crucial for reducing the burden of heart failure, while research incentives and investments in investigative programs are essential to drive scientific discoveries and translate them into viable therapies. A holistic, patient-centered approach that includes education, psychological support, lifestyle modification, and continuous monitoring is critical for improving clinical outcomes and strengthening the partnership between physicians and patients. Investing in research, prevention, and integrated care can lead to significant advances in the fight against heart failure, benefiting health and quality of life worldwide. |

Specialized Dentistry Group2024-04-08info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/article/view/186910.36557/2674-8169.2024v6n4p866-876Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; Vol. 6 No. 4 (2024): BJIHS QUALIS B3 - IMPACT FACTOR SJIF 5.807; 866-876Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; Vol. 6 Núm. 4 (2024): BJIHS QUALIS B3 - FATOR DE IMPACTO SJIF 5.807; 866-876Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; v. 6 n. 4 (2024): BJIHS QUALIS B3 - FATOR DE IMPACTO SJIF 5.807; 866-8762674-8169reponame:Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciencesinstname:Grupo de Odontologia Especializada (GOE)instacron:GOEporhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/article/view/1869/2094Copyright (c) 2024 Rafael Adorno, Yasmmin Dias Santana, Thales Maltez Santana Vieira, João Victor Soares Silva, Larissa Lapa Malheiro, Gabriel Carneiro de Aguiar Damasceno, Filipe Nunes Assis, Murilo Oliveira Correia, Iasmin Quiteiro Araujo, Lyvua Calasans dos Santos Souza, Jose Fabio Possidônio Ferreira, Roberto de Barros Silvahttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessAdorno, RafaelDias Santana, YasmminMaltez Santana Vieira, ThalesSoares Silva, João VictorLapa Malheiro, LarissaCarneiro de Aguiar Damasceno, GabrielNunes Assis, FilipeOliveira Correia, MuriloQuiteiro Araujo, IasminCalasans dos Santos Souza, LyvuaPossidônio Ferreira, Jose Fabiode Barros Silva, Roberto2024-04-09T11:05:05Zoai:ojs.bjihs.emnuvens.com.br:article/1869Revistahttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihsONGhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/oaijournal.bjihs@periodicosbrasil.com.br2674-81692674-8169opendoar:2024-04-09T11:05:05Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences - Grupo de Odontologia Especializada (GOE)false |
