ANTERIOR AESTHETIC REHABILITATION - CASE REPORT: Reabilitação Estética Anterior

As a result of the overvaluation of aesthetic procedures, ceramic systems have increasingly evolved to achieve a beautiful and harmonious smile. These procedures can often require a standardization of the shade of the dental elements, which in these cases involves the association with tooth whitening. Therefore, the aim of this study is to report a case of anterior aesthetic rehabilitation, using indirect restorations with ceramic laminates, in association with tooth whitening using the Power Bleaching technique.  A female patient came to the Multidisciplinary Clinic II at UNIPAR/Sede complaining of dissatisfaction with the color and shape of her anterior teeth. Anamnesis, clinical examination, radiographic examination and initial photographs were taken to be inserted into the DSD (Digital Smile Design) program. The patient then underwent prophylaxis and color registration, with color (A1) being recorded for dental elements 11 and 12, (B1) for 21, 22 and 23 and (A3) for dental element 13, according to the Vita Scale. Acetate trays were made for home whitening, which was carried out with 16% carbamide peroxide (Whiteness Perfect 16%, FGM) for 1 hour a day for 3 weeks. On the tenth day of treatment, in-office whitening was carried out with 35% hydrogen peroxide (Whiteness HP 35% - FGM) for 3 applications lasting 20 minutes with a 5-minute interval. After standardizing the shade (B1), indirect restorative treatment was carried out on tooth elements 13 to 23. The combination of whitening using the Power Bleaching technique and ceramic veneers provided a satisfactory aesthetic result for the patient, bringing standardization of color and harmony in terms of alignment and shape.
