Resumo: | Composite resin layering aims to mimic restorations, using techniques that achieve increasingly natural results, using increments of different types of composite resin. On the other hand, it is considered one of the crucial stages in restorative dentistry. The correct choice of shade still has an impact not only on clinical results, but also on the time spent in the dental office. Therefore, the aim of this study is to demonstrate, through a clinical case report, whether the use of a unicromatic flow composite resin (Vittra Aps Unique/FGM) eliminates the need for shade selection during restorative treatment in class V cavities, optimizing clinical time. The unicromatic resin is a considerably versatile material, with the ability to restore shades from A1 to D4 on the Vita® Classical shade scale, as well as allowing longer clinical working time under the reflector light. In addition, it can reduce the amount of resins in the dental office, reducing the cost of materials. |
