Resumo: According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 700 million people suffer from mental disorders, with an estimated 350 million new cases being diagnosed by 2020. These patients generally use polypharmacy, resulting in drug interactions (IM's) and adverse reactions. To analyze the pharmacoepidemiological profile of psychiatric drugs in a hospital in the state health network in Pernambuco, focusing on drug interactions. The research was documentary, retrospective, descriptive and with a quantitative approach. Data were collected from patients' medical records and transcribed and analyzed statistically. The legal ethical aspects are in accordance with Resolutions No 466/2012, 510/2016 and 580/2018 of the National Health Council. The analysis of 30 records of psychiatric patients, between May and June 2019, showed the prevalence of MI's. The most frequent interaction was between haloperidol and promethazine, being of three types: severe, moderate and mild. The use of lithium carbonate associated with chlorpromazine and haloperidol was of moderate relevance. Losartan can increase toxicity and decrease renal clearance. The study proved to be relevant, configuring a tool to assist mental health professionals about these psychotropic drugs and their main interactions.
