Resumo: This article seeks an understanding of the historic-gegraphical Guaragi (Ponta Grossa – PR) through the analys is of the dialectic between culture and territory. The culture is one way of interpreting the organization of the territory from the symbols, beliefs, experiences, identities and representation created that has the same. The dialectic contributes to the un derstanding of phenomena in its entirety, viewing it as part of a dynamic reality, which is constantly changing, and a socio-historical process.

O presente artigo pretende o entendimento da formação histórico-geográfica do distrito de Guaragi (Ponta Grossa – PR) através da análise sobre a dialética entre cultura e território. A cultura é uma forma de interpretar a organização do território a partir dos símbolos, das crenças, das experiências, das identidades criadas e da representação que se tem do mesmo.
