Building a Pedagogical Architecture for Understanding Global Warming

Resumo: Complex and interdisciplinary themes such as "Global Warming", are present in the area of Natural Sciences its Technologies include, besides Chemistry, other sciences such as Biology and Geography. The creation of didactic material about the different perspectives of the subject is challenging. This article describes a collaborative building process of this type of material that uses the 'Pedagogical Architecture' paradigm, which presupposes fundamental balance components such as strong pedagogy, methodological systematization, and technological support that allows students to use cognitively thought-provoking activities and contemplate multiple paths and approaches. A free software component was used for editing documents and build up a collaborative text that demonstrated to be dynamic, allowing contributions of different teachers and allowing successive reviews in a short period of time that were later made available and used in essays by students who were pleased with the content and the theme. The students stated that the text presents information clearly. Among the students participating in the study, 87% reported that their main source of research is websites (Internet). The theme of global warming was considered to be highly promoted by 22 students and unanimously associated with the theme and discipline of geography. The curricular components of Biology and Chemistry were listed by 16 students.

A produção de material didático contemplando as diferentes perspectivas do tema é desafiador. Este artigo descreve um processo de construção colaborativa desse tipo de material utilizando o paradigma de ‘Arquiteturas Pedagógicas’, que pressupõe equilibrar componentes fundamentais como concepção pedagógica forte, sistematização metodológica e suporte tecnológico que possibilite aos estudantes dispor de atividades cognitivamente instigantes e contemplem múltiplos caminhos e abordagens. Um software gratuito foi usado para edição de documentos e construção de um texto colaborativo que se mostrou dinâmico permitindo a contribuição de diferentes professores e permitindo revisões sucessivas em curto intervalo de tempo que posteriormente foi disponibilizado e utilizado em um ensaio por estudantes que se mostraram satisfeitos com o conteúdo e tema. Os estudantes afirmaram que o texto apresenta a informação de forma clara. Dentre os alunos participantes do estudo, 87% relataram que sua principal fonte de pesquisa são sites (Internet). O tema aquecimento global foi considerado de grande relevância por 22 alunos e por unanimidade associam a temática a disciplina de geografia.
