Analysis of food hygiene habits of consumers in the city of Macapá-AP before and during the covid-19 pandemic. Although the current situation reveals the importance of eating hygiene habits the correct methods of manipulation,food preparation and ingestion can prevent the spread of more than 250 diseases caused by pathogenic microorganisms,the objective of this work is to present a research of analysis of food hygiene habits consumers in the city of Macapá and Santana-Ap before and during the covid-19 pandemic. A descriptive study was conducted with 200 consumers from the locality. To perform the work,the following criteria were adopted: individuals of both sexes living in the city of Macapá-Ap. In order to collect data on changes in life habits, regarding food hygiene,when choosing an establishment 25% of people did not waste time observing whether handlers have proper hygienic-sanitary behaviors and 75% of people answered that they observe if handlers are wearing personal protective equipment,such as masks,gloves,caps and unadorned. Before the pandemic 47.5% of people responded that they use only water for the hygiene of vegetables and during the pandemic 37% of people answered that they used bleach. Before the pandemic 62.5% of the people answered that they did not sanitize their utensils before consuming some food and during the pandemic 67% of people answered yes. Therefore, the pandemic period showed hygiene as an important source of prevention of covid-19, sanitizing non-perishable food with 70% alcohol, sanitizing fruits and vegetables after purchase, has become commonplace in our daily lives.
