Resumo: ABSTRACT: The article aims do reflect upon the use of utopian works, in particular the Star Wars Saga, as a methodological tool in the Technician Integrated High School proposed by the Rede Federal de Educação Profissional e Tecnológica (EPT) (EPT), especially in the teaching of philosophy. We considered the idea of hope and how it runs through the concepts of utopia and, also, dystopia and retrotopy. The research is anchored in dialectical historical materialism, the results were obtained through bibliographic research and textual and socio-historical analysis of cinematographic works. As a result, the finding that the Star Wars Saga has pedagogical potential for teaching philosophy, based on the freirian proposal of action-reflection-action in integrated high school.

Consideramos a ideia de esperança e como essa perpassa pelos conceitos de utopia e, também, de distopia e retrotopia. A pesquisa está ancorada no materialismo histórico dialético, sendo os resultados obtidos através de pesquisa bibliográfica e análise textual e sócio-histórica de obras cinematográficas.
