Resumo: This study aims to evaluate the incidence and damage of onion thrips in two systems of soil management with no-tillage in the straw in the organic system and in the conventional system with soil tillage, and its relation with productivity. The onion cultivar used in the study was Epagri 362 Crioula Alto Vale. The study was conducted in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. The incidence of thrips in most evaluations was lower in the organic system with no-tillage in the straw, presenting lower density of plants compared to the conventional one. Leaf damage caused by thrips tended to be similar in the two systems. Productivity was not negatively correlated with incidence and damage of thrips. Productivity was superior in the conventional system.

Productivity was superior in the conventional system.  El objetivo de este estudio fue evaluar la incidencia y daños de trips en cebolla, en dos sistemas de manejo de suelo con plantío directo en la paja en sistema orgánico y en el convencional con revolución, y su relación con la productividad. La cultivar de cebolla utilizada fue la Epagri 362 Crioula Alto Vale. El estudio fue realizado durante los años 2014, 2015, 2016 y 2017. La incidencia de trips en la mayoría de las evaluaciones fue menor en sistema orgánico con plantío directo en la paja y menor densidad de plantas comparado al convencional. Los daños foliares causados por trips tienden a ser similares entre los dos sistemas. La productividad no se correlacionó de manera negativa con la incidencia y los daños de los trips. La productividad fue superior en el sistema convencional.  O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar a incidência e danos de tripes em cebola, em dois sistemas de manejo de solo com plantio direto na palha em sistema orgânico e no convencional com revolvimento, e sua relação com a produtividade. A cultivar de cebola utilizada foi a Epagri 362 Crioula Alto Vale. O estudo foi realizado durante os anos de 2014, 2015, 2016 e 2017. A incidência de tripes na maioria das avaliações foi menor em sistema orgânico com plantio direto na palha e menor densidade de plantas comparado ao convencional. Os danos foliares causados por tripes tenderam a ser similares entre os sistemas. A produtividade não foi correlacionada de maneira negativa com a incidência e danos de tripes.
