Perceptions of Physics and Mathematics teacher’s from a public school about the interdisciplinary approach to Astronomy in these subjects

Resumo: | Literature studies point out the potential of Astronomy teaching through the perspective of interdisciplinarity, but its insertion in High School, generally, occurs in Physics topics. This article aims to analyze the perspectives of two Physics and Mathematics teachers on the insertion of the Astronomy theme, through the interdisciplinarity between these subjects in the High School curriculum. The study has reference bases on interdisciplinarity and studies on the Education in Astronomy. This is a qualitative exploratory study. Two High School teachers, who work in public schools, participate in the study, answering a questionnaire. The results of the performed analysis show justifications and potentialities for the teaching of Astronomy in an interdisciplinary way, however, thinking about the insertion of Astrophysics and Cosmology seems to be more difficult. We pointed out some difficulties related to teacher training, the specific content, and conditions for insertion of proposals with this bias. We note that the construction of didactic support materials that involve Astronomy, Astrophysics and Cosmology in an interdisciplinary way can make possible the insertion of these subjects through this perspective in basic education. |

Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar as perspectivas de dois professores de Física e Matemática sobre a inserção do tema Astronomia, por meio da interdisciplinaridade entre essas disciplinas, no currículo do Ensino Médio da Educação Básica. O estudo tem bases referenciais sobre interdisciplinaridade e sobre a Educação em Astronomia. Trata-se de uma investigação qualitativa de natureza exploratória. Participaram desta pesquisa, respondendo a um questionário, dois professores atuantes no Ensino Médio da rede pública de ensino. Os resultados da análise realizada evidenciam justificativas e potencialidades para o ensino da Astronomia de forma interdisciplinar, todavia, pensar a inserção da Astrofísica e Cosmologia parece mais trabalhoso. Apontamos dificuldades relacionadas à formação dos professores, sobre o conteúdo específico, e às condições para a inserção de propostas com esse viés.
