Resumo: The case reports a patient of 60 years with previously untreated lepromatous leprosy who presented three years ago pictures of “injured” leg. It found medical aid being treated as outbreaks of erysipelas. A showed characteristic lesion of Lucio’s phenomenon progressing to widespread necrosis and ulceration but this hypothesis has not been defined in the services that previously attended. Showed smear and histopathology strongly positve cells parasitized by acid-fast bacilli resistant intact, thrombosis of vessels in the papillary dermis, endothelial proliferation consistent with lepromatous leprosy - Lucio’s phenomenon. Was treated multibacillary and steroids to the patient, however, possibly even died from complications of liver cirrhosis due to hepatitis B and alcohol in advance monitoring.
