Resumo: The objective of this study is to compile recent data about the housing area in Paraná, in order to offer a panoramic and prospective view of the sector to, from this, collaborate with subsidies to the planning of public policies in the state. The first part presents the set of information collected by the annual housing supplement of the National Survey by Sample of Continuous Households (PNADC), of the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE)Abstract, about the general characteristics of Brazilian households; following come the results from the study on housing deficit and household inadequacy in Brazil, the João Pinheiro Foundation (FJP)in which the main housing needs of the country are systematized; in the third part are highlighted the projections by stock and demand for future housing elaborated in a publication resulting from a partnership between the federal government and the Fluminense Federal University.

En la primera parte se presenta el conjunto de informaciones levantadas por el suplemento anual de habitación de la Investigación Nacional por Muestra de Domicilios Continua (PNADC), del Instituto Brasileño de Geografía y Estadística (IBGE), acerca de las características generales de los domicilios brasileños; en la secuencia vienen los resultados oriundos del estudio sobre el déficit habitacional y la inadecuación de domicilios en Brasil, de la Fundación João Pinheiro (FJP), en que se sistematizan las principales necesidades habitacionales del País; en la tercera parte se destacan las proyecciones por stock y demanda de viviendas futuras elaboradas en publicación resultante de asociación entre el gobierno federal y la Universidad Federal Fluminense.O objetivo deste estudo é o de compilar dados recentes acerca da área habitacional no Paraná, com o intuito de oferecer uma visão panorâmica e prospectiva do setor para, a partir disso, colaborar com subsídios ao planejamento de políticas púbicas no Estado.
