The impact of COVID-19 in health field still remains high, even after months of the pandemic declaration made by the World Health Organization on March 11, 2020. The dental surgeon, considered as one of the professionals with the highest occupational risk in relation to this disease, had to change the routine of the office and seek adjustments in the performance of procedures, aiming at maintaining safe care for your team and the patient. Therefore, the study proposed to answer the following question: "What are the scientific information and guidelines that guide the management of COVID-19 in dental care?". The methodology used for the research was the integrative review of the literature, through bibliographic survey in the databases Cochrane, PubMed/MEDLINE; Latin American Literature on Health Sciences (LILACS); Scopus and Web of Science, with publications from the 2019 until January 2021. As a result, after the application of the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 32 articles were selected and evaluated from which the main suggestions for adequacy in dental care during the pandemic, in order to avoid and / or mitigate the risks of spread and infection of the SARS- CoV-2. As a contribution, this study clarified the important changes and adaptations in dental clinical procedures and conduct that may guide managers and professionals in the development of their clinical protocols and standard operational protocols.
