This article exposes some elements of territorial self-determination, as a vector that reveals aspects in the tensions between "original segregation" and "decolonial praxis", in five key historical moments of the modern/colonial settlement process in the "Nudo de los Pastos", starting with the model of reductions of indigenous people in the 16th century until the Wars of Independence and republics in the 19th century. Some strategies of the indigenous communities are exposed to situate their territorial discourse, as a place of enunciation that has been developed in the constant exercise of their urban-rural spatial self-determination. To do this, the cultural, political and symbolic practices of the people from the "Pastos" are analyzed, documented in secondary historical and anthropological sources, to reveal them as elements of their "decolonial praxis" that constantly redefine the local urban-territorial phenomenon.
