Language and proverbs: a brief articulation in the light of lacanian theory

Resumo: The purpose of this manuscript is to briefly discuss the appropriation of linguistic concepts by Lacanian Psychoanalysis, highlighting those related to the signifier and metaphor. The concerns arising from the experience as a special student of the Postgraduate Program in Psychology at the University of Brasília constituted a stimulus for this study outline. Furthermore, we were interested in identifying how this appropriation contributes to a process of differentiation between Linguistics and Psychoanalysis and the elaboration of aspects of psychoanalytic theory based on Lacan.
