ANALYSIS OF THE OPINION OF ACADEMICS ABOUT ENTREPRENEURIAL UNIVERSITIES: A COMPARISON BETWEEN BRAZIL AND MEXICO

Resumo: The entrepreneurial university consolidates itself as an instrument that not only provides a workforce and added value with the creation or transformation of knowledge, but also enhances the individual, creates values ​​and attitudes reinforcing the entrepreneurial capacity. The objective of the study was to analyze the students' perception about the importance of the entrepreneurial university for their academic formation. It has a qualitative approach, with exploratory and descriptive phases. As a strategy, we used a comparative study of two cases, Brazil and Mexico. The collection technique was focus group and analysis through content analysis, with the support of NVivo® software version 12. The results show that the Mexican institution is focused on entrepreneurial education, activities that integrate students and companies in class, research, stimulating interaction through the resolution of real problems. The Brazilian institution, however, does not work in a clear and mature way regarding entrepreneurship, being perceived basically as a discipline by the academics.

Diante disso, o objetivo desta investigação consiste em analisar a percepção dos alunos sobre a importância da universidade empreendedora para sua formação acadêmica. A partir de uma abordagem qualitativa, com fases exploratória e descritiva, realizou-se um estudo comparativo entre dois casos, Brasil e México. Como técnica de coleta, empregaram-se grupo focal e análise por meio da análise de conteúdo, com o auxílio do software NVivo®, versão 12. Os resultados mostram que a instituição mexicana está voltada à educação empreendedora, em atividades que integram estudantes e empresas nas aulas e pesquisas, incentivando a interação por meio da resolução de problemas reais.
