INTRODUCTORY NOTIONS ABOUT THE CHAKRAS IN HINDUISM

Resumo: This communication brings introductory notions about the chakras in Hinduism. Initially, it contextualizes the theme historically in the Yoga Upanishads, which are connected to the Vedas and, therefore, are part of the Hindu tradition. Then it considers the Tantra Yoga scriptures, whose texts are not bound by religious tradition. Continuing the reasoning, it presents possibilities of semantic understanding of the term chakra, which derives from Sanskrit, considering the ideas of different researchers on the subject. Finally, it shows specific descriptions around the seven most known chakras in the West, namely: Muladhara; Svadhisthana; Manipura; Anahata; Vishuddha; Ajna; Sahasrara.

Luego considera las escrituras de Tantra Yoga, cuyos textos no están sujetos a la tradición religiosa. Continuando con el razonamiento, presenta posibilidades de comprensión semántica del término chakra, que deriva del sánscrito, considerando las ideas de diferentes investigadores sobre el tema. Finalmente, muestra descripciones específicas en torno a los siete chakras más conocidos en occidente, a saber: Muladhara; Svadhisthana; manipura; anahata; Vishuddha; Ajna; Sahasrara.  Esta comunicação traz noções introdutórias sobre os chakras no Hinduísmo. Inicialmente, contextualiza o tema historicamente nos Yoga Upanishads, que se conectam aos Vedas e, por isso, fazem parte da tradição hindu. Em seguida, considera as escrituras do Tantra Yoga, cujos textos não se vinculam à tradição religiosa. Dando continuidade ao raciocínio, apresenta possibilidades de entendimento semântico do termo chakra, o qual se deriva do sânscrito, considerando as ideias de diferentes pesquisadores do assunto.
