Stereoscopy and the use of the term illusion in the theories of cinema

Resumo: the article deals with the film and photographic stereoscopic image. This type of image is characterized by a configuration in space outside of the screen. In these images, in-depth vision has been explained as an illusion effect. Here is presented a research about the origins of this illusionist explanation on movie theories; and for that describes and develops the argument used by Nöel Carroll in Mystifying Movies (1988).

Este tipo de imagen se caracteriza por su configuración en el espacio fuera de la pantalla. En estas imágenes, visión de profundidad se ha explicado como un efecto de ilusión. Presenta uma investigación sobre los orígenes de esta explicación en las teorías del cine; y para eso se describe y desarrolla el argumento utilizado por Nöel Carroll en Mystifying Movies (1988).o artigo trata da imagem estereoscópica cinematográfica e fotográfica. Esse tipo de imagem se caracteriza por sua configuração no espaço fora da tela. Nessas imagens, a visão em profundidade tem sido explicada como efeito de uma ilusão.
