Pedagogical strategies to promote reading in the elementary school

Resumo: This study discusses the use of teaching strategies to promote reading in Elementary School. We analyze research identified in the SciELO.br database focusing on reading at this level of education; we also present a concept of reading and its importance in the socio-educational context, highlighting the role of the school and the educator in the organization of a reading environment; later, the use of didactic strategies for the mediation of reading in the classroom is discussed. The didactics of reading teaching pervades three discussions: planning, development, and evaluation of pedagogical strategies; the use of textual supports and configurations, and the organization of interactive reading environments. It is important to highlight the importance of the socialization of research the subject for teachers and researchers of Elementary School, since the knowledge of pedagogical practices of reading mediation and of evaluation instruments can compose a new range of possibilities of action at this level of education.

Se analizan investigaciones identificadas en la base SciELO.br enfocando la lectura en este nivel de enseñanza; se presenta un concepto de lectura y su importancia en el contexto socioeducativo, destacando el papel de la escuela y del educador en la organización de un ambiente lector; y posteriormente se discute el uso de estrategias didácticas para la mediación de la lectura en el aula. La didáctica de la enseñanza de la lectura atravesa tres discusiones: planificación, desarrollo y evaluación de estrategias pedagógicas; el uso de soportes y configuraciones textuales, además de la organización de ambientes interactivos de lectura. Se destaca la importancia de la socialización de las investigaciones sobre la temática para profesores e investigadores de la Enseñanza Fundamental, ya que el conocimiento de prácticas pedagógicas de mediación de lectura y de instrumentos evaluativos podrá componer un nuevo abanico de posibilidades de actuación en este nivel de enseñanza.Este estudo discute o uso de estratégias de ensino para a promoção da leitura no Ensino Fundamental. Analisa-se pesquisas identificadas na base SciELO.br focando a leitura neste nível de ensino; apresenta-se um conceito de leitura e sua importância no contexto socioeducacional, destacando o papel da escola e do educador na organização de um ambiente leitor; posteriormente, discute-se o uso de estratégias didáticas para a mediação da leitura em sala de aula. A didática do ensino da leitura perpassa três discussões: planejamento, desenvolvimento e avaliação de estratégias pedagógicas; o uso de suportes e configurações textuais, além da organização de ambientes interativos de leitura.
