The main goal of this paper is to cast a look into the role and place of religion inside the city. We live in a world marked by many offers. Religion plays an important role in one's life, as something which imbues meaning amid these many offers. In this paper, some forms of encounter of religion in the city's space are presented: religion as anonymity, religion as a space for affirmation and acquaintanceship, and religion as a meaning builder which culminates in the meeting of the pilgrim with itself and its beliefs. The city is presented as a place of achievement and affirmation of the human person, as a privileged place of sociability and for the search of meaning inside the crises presented by the contemporaneity
