Business corporations are formed with the primary purpose of making a profit, and that is why shareholders invest in these businesses seeking liquidity. However, not everyone has the same power of influence in social businesses, given their participation, and with the aim of establishing mechanisms that ensure greater protection for minorities, among other factors, corporate governance arises. The governance theme is a daily concern for those who actively participate in the capital market and was very well structured, despite the need to be always revisited, given the common changes that lead to the evolution of companies and people. However, with the change in the global panorama, due to climate urgency and the need to adapt to the new reality, in addition to the social demand for greater inclusion and diversity in all environments, companies, in addition to the challenge of having good governance and delivering positive results, also need to be concerned with this new reality. In this context, due to the multilateral agreements signed by countries and the internal and international pressure, companies are being pressured to adopt new practices, which at first require a high investment, but with a differentiated financial return, due to this added value. Within this perspective, the present work approaches the classic and wellestablished governance, as well as how the new dynamics of ESG culture can be used for its protection and profitability
