Resumo: This study aimed to evaluate the influence of physical activity on the body image ofelderly people and their life. We used two validated scales for use with the elderly in Brazil. Theparticipants were 50 people over 60 years, water aerobics practitioners. Much of the elderlyshowed a positive body image and satisfaction with life, pointing out that conducting a physicalactivity can assist in body image perception and factors that promote life satisfaction during theaging process

Foram utilizadas duas escalas validadas para usocom idosos no Brasil. Participaram da pesquisa 50 pessoas acima de 60 anos, praticantes dehidroginástica.
