This master thesis has as its theme the implementation of core policy Support Health Family (NASF) and the search for and identification of potential difficulties in the execution of this work. The goal is to understand the operational strategies in the exercise work together with the family health teams in Porto Alegre through the perception of NASF professionals, the Family Health Strategy (ESF) and a health manager. From the invitation in the public policy was proposed a discussion of these aspects and factors reported in the interviews by professional participants in this study. This research was divided into two studies that make up this thesis. The first theorist that assists in understanding the evolution of public policies prior to the NASF, presenting the context in which the NASF emerged and also working with key concepts for further discussion on this device. The second this is an empirical study that addresses the perception of professionals involved in the work of the NASF regarding the implementation of the policy in the city of Porto Alegre, and the identification of positive factors and obstacles for the realization of this work. This study was made through a literature review and interviews with five professionals involved in the work of the NASF. The studies were exploratory and descriptive qualitative study aimed to know some of NASF the reality in the city.
