This study reports a pedagogical experience accomplished at the Escola Salesianos de Manique, where we taught the teaching unit 1, Living together, to class 5th B. There we developed a studentcentred pedagogical practice in which micro pedagogies were used so that we could both convey the contents and develop the subject-related moral and intellectual skills, from small activities. We also worked the concept of caring and developed its theological deepening, subsequently applying it to the teaching practice. Thus, we realised that living together requires the recognition of the other, his acceptance and welcoming, in order to enable his inclusion in the human relationship. The teaching activity requires from the teacher the ability of welcoming the other, providing him full-integration opportunities, despite the economic, social or cultural differences. We therefore showed that it is possible to implement projects in schools which enable both the students’ involvement and the development of moral, social and intellectual skills from the service pedagogy, making them available to the other.
