Resumo: Important factors contribute to a gained momentum in candidate gene association studies (CGAS) including the generalized use of NGS, growing opportunity for hospital-based research and availability of open-source databases and bioinformatics tools. This report summarizes the general principles and analytical methods as a guide to CGAS in today’s favorable context.
