Hoje a humanidade vive um novo ciclo, ao entrar na “Era de Aquário" (período de paz, harmonia, amor e tranquilidade), em que a procura de novas vias de desenvolvimento pessoal se torna basilar, assim como o interesse generalizado pelas mais diversas doutrinas, filosofias e religiões, das mais simples às mais complexas e misteriosas. Ciências e Pseudo-ciências como a Astrologia, a Cabala ou a Alquimia, tornam-se importantes meios de acesso ao almejado aperfeiçoamento pessoal. A verdadeira “revolução" de pensamentos, costumes e posturas iniciada com o Quattrocento italiano e difundida por toda a Europa do século XVI, bem como a proliferação de estudos e descobertas e invenções científicas desta época, alteraram toda uma mundividência herdada da visão maniqueísta medieval, em que a eterna luta entre o Bem e o Mal – que condiciona os comportamentos, posto que o homem não passa de um títere cujas acções são dominadas por este combate – é nota dominante. É nesta sociedade em ebulição que William Shakespeare se move e produz a sua obra. O estudo da temática ocultista e esotérica na obra de William Shakespeare, um dos maiores autores do cânone literário inglês, ainda não foi objecto de tratamento muito desenvolvido a nível mundial, o que determinou a escolha do temaRÉSUMÉ La dissertation « Aspects Occultistes et Esotériques dans l’oeuvre de William Shakespeare – Étude de Hamlet, The Tempest et The Winter’s Tale » a le bout de vérifier l’existence de contenu et théories liés aux sciences occultes dans l’oeuvre de cet auteur. Aujourd’hui l’humanité vit un nouveau cycle, au début de « l’Age de Aquarium » (période de paix, harmonie, amour et tranquillité) dans la recherche de nouvelles façons pour le développement personnel devient fondamentale, bien aussi l’intérêt généralisé pour des différentes doctrines, philosophies et religions, venant des plus simples jusqu'aux plus complexes et mystérieuses. Sciences et Pseudo-sciences comme l’Astrologie, la Kabbale ou l’Alchimie, deviennent moyens importants pour l’accès au désiré perfectionnement intérieur. La vraie « révolution » de pensées, costumes et attitudes initiée avec le Quattrocento italien et diffusée par toute l’Europe au siècle XV, aussi que la prolifération d’études et découvertes et inventions scientifiques de cette époque, ont changé la mondovision héritée de la vision manichéiste médiévale, où l’éternelle lute parmi le Bien et le Mal – que conditionne les comportements, car l’homme n’est qu’un objet dont ses attitudes sont commandées par cette lute – est note dominante. Il est dans cette société que William Shakespeare circule et produit ses oeuvres. L’étude de la thématique occultiste et ésotérique dans l’oeuvre de William Shakespeare, un des plus grands auteurs du panorama littéraire anglais, n’a pas encore été objet d’une approche très développée, ce qui a déterminé le choix du sujet de ce travail.ABSTRACT The dissertation “Occult and Esoteric Aspects in Shakespeare’s Plays – Study of Hamlet, The Tempest and The Winter’s Tale" aims to verify the existence of contents and theories linked to the occult sciences in the works of this author. Nowadays, on the verge of the “Age of Aquarius" (a period of peace, harmony, love and tranquillity), mankind lives in a new cycle in which the quest for new ways of personal development becomes a keystone, as well as the general interest in diverse doctrines and religions that ranges from the simplest to the most complex and mysterious ones. Sciences and Pseudo-Sciences such as Astrology, the Kebbalah or Alchemy, become important means to get the desired inner development. The “revolution" in thought, habits and posture begun with the Italian Quattrocento and spread through Europe in the sixteenth century, as well as the proliferation of studies and scientific discoveries and inventions of this period, changed the whole vision of the world, which had been inherited from the one of the Middle Ages, in which the everlasting fight between Good and Evil – that conditions behaviours, for Man is but a puppet whose actions are commanded by this fight – encompasses everything. It is in this type of society that Shakespeare lives and produces his works.
