Resumo: My work walks the line between Architecture and contemporary Art, a limit that can be thin and that sometimes becomes abyssal. My pratice explores the way these disciplines inform and are informed by the social and political condition in a globalized world. I work mostly in multiformat installation and painting. Travelling with the purpose of collecting information, its processing and subsequent transformation in hybrid multifaceted works of art became my modus operandi for artistic production. The images, videos and sound that I use in my work are captured and post-produced by me in situ in different territories of the planet. At an initial stage, my atelier fits in a backpack and inside the digital circuits of a computer. The second step requires isolation from the world. This is when I analyze, catalog and transform in an obsessive fashion. I started to understand the act ofediting - cut and paste - as a constructor of ficcional narratives based on reality. My intelligence, memories, my decision-making ability, the way as I combine my records and my domain of different technologies are the factors that enable the building of narratives. With my practice, I want to provoke a reflexion about the mysteries and paradoxes of the human existence in the context of the complex contemporary condition. How to create narratives in a world where apparently they no longer exist? What is the place of spirituality in a world without spirit? The networked society dilutes conflicts, but these conflicts persist. My traumas, the themes to which I always come back are: the limit between reality and fiction, the voyage, migrations, territory, Mankind, identity, the Other, multiculturalism and the conflicts present in our globalized society. These are the themes I will develop in the present dissertation. This work intersects Art, Architecture, History, Sociology, Western Philosophy and Eastern Cosmology. This hybrid line was the direction of my life and artistic practic for the last years. This dissertation will attempt to clarify my work and the body of knowledge that informs it
